What is the church? Who is Christ? Why Jesus? Millions have questions, and the search words reveal millions of web sites. Who has the time to find the real diamonds? Since 2003, as a spare time effort, cTc.tv has sought to identify the "best of the best", and many non-denominational gems have been discovered -- and placed on this web page for you, your family, your friends, your study group, your church, and for your missionaries and those who wish to help spread the Truth and Word as directed by the Great Commission (click here to read the Lord's command).
The following contents and links give you ready and FREE access to four groups of Holy Bible resources:
> READING (any of thousands of different languages with a few clicks) > LISTENING (hearing only, hundreds of languages, and that can be downloaded to audio players)
> SEEING AND HEARING (audio-visual or TV, hundreds of languages, and some that can be downloaded)
> DISTRIBUTING TO NON-READING PEOPLE (outreach and missions anywhere, hundreds of languages).
You (and your web site links and resources designer) are welcome to place a free link to http://cTc.tv to make it easy to find and use this web site. Of course, place a link in your own personal favorite places or computer book marks.
The motivation of those looking for answers range from the intellectually curious to the emotionally driven - and everything in between. What cTc.tv is attempting to do is to put the "best of the best" FREE access non-denominational sources for direct use of the Holy Bible at the fingertips of all who simply recall the initials of any of the core messages and that the web site is NOT a dot com, but a dot TV (tele-virtual web site).
Overall, there are more than 6,900 living languages around the globe, and the reality is that about half of the 7,000,000,000 (7 billion) humans living are functionally not able to read. Most all can hear and see. So, a key part of this mission is to help any and all users find FREE Bible resources - and in particular those that can be seen and heard - in as many languages as possible.
To get a perspective, there is a huge disparity between the mean size of languages and the median size. It turns out that 389 (or nearly 6%) of the world’s languages have at least one million speakers and account for 94% of the world’s population. By contrast, the remaining 94% of languages are spoken by only 6% of the world’s people (click here for data:
You are invited to look at and use these "gems". If you know of a gem that should be examined for possible inclusion in this Holy Bible Treasure Chest, let me know. If a link does not work or has been hijacked to an unsuitable web site, please let me know.

The Bible Gateway is widely used and gives you the FREE ability to custom search the Christian Holy Bible by keyword, passage or topic without millions of page options like you see from dominant search engines. Lets you focus the search on the entire Bible, chronological sections, or by classifications of the books such as New Testament, Old Testament, Gospel, Books of Moses, Epistles, Apocalyptic, Major Prophets, Minor Prophets, Wisdom Books, etc. You can easily select the way results are presented, for example, in order of appearance in the Bible, relevance to your key words, and with verse and reference or just reference only. For example, if you search the keyword "church" you can see the flow of the word in the New Testament verse by verse. If you want to see the first time the word "Christian" is used in the Bible, you can find it. This resource is made available by Zondervan, and other parts of their web site present their commercial capability. |
About Bibles.net: Over the years, efforts by many to provide timely translations of the oldest manuscripts that have been found have led to a number of translations from the original recorded languages. The NIV version is suggested if you do not have any other strong preferences, as it was compiled from the very oldest original records that have been found as of the date of its release, including the Dead Sea Scrolls. For those who have a sense of history, Bibles.net links you to a significant source of historic Bibles. |
