There are so many Bible translations -- how do you pick one? |
EASY TO READ BIBLES?
Why do we mortals make God's Word (the Holy Bible) so hard to understand?
Could it be to perpetuate the business of religion?
The various denominations and the church seek the most accurate translation, yet the task of communicating the message is placed on the shoulders of religious leaders.
Religious leaders range from highly educated ministers and trained preachers to lay leaders of small study groups and home based churches.
What is an easy to understand translation of the original languages to everyday, easy English?
The original languages were Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.
The content was in the context of the common, everyday words of the general population.
It was recorded over a span of many centuries.
Contemporary English is in a constant state of flux, leading to confusion when one is seeking guidance from the Holy Bible.
The formal concordances are helpful, yet they too mostly come from well organized sources.
Is there a solution for the everyday person, in the confines of their home?
I do not know for sure, but when I seek information on the many translations of the Holy Bible, I find many interesting lists. A small sample to illustrate the point:
