A. WHAT IS cTc.tv? |
> It is your one-stop instant inreach and outreach center, serving the curious, those who hope, seekers of the Truth, and Christians anywhere on Earth - Free, Fast and Easy Access to Non-Denominational Christian resources.

How easy to remember? The initials, cTc, stand for "come to church", "come to Christ", "Christians that care", "churches that care", "choose to change", and "change the choice", all provided by free televirtual media, hence instead of the commercial dot com, it is dot TV.
> To remember the initials, just remember one of the six "C T C" phrases that best fit your memory about this service.

> All the Internet domains names that come to cTc.tv are three word messages that have the common initials, "C T C" and "TV", to make it easy to recall the name and initials of the web site.
> The dot TV helps distinguish cTc.tv as a tele-visual resource web site.
> The core effort is to provide free links to the source web sites that present the Holy Bible as text, sound and audio visual in thousands of languages.
> The seeker who wishes to learn more can use the ctc.tv web site to access other free resources on the Internet that have been carefully selected and are considered to be free of sectarian bias.

> Responders to this outreach are encouraged to read and study the Holy Bible, and to come to church to explore further the Wisdom of the Holy Bible and the Word of God. |
E. WHAT IS THE MISSION OF cTc.tv? |
> cTc.tv is inspired by the Word: “I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.” (1 Corinthians 1:10). > When individuals prepared by the Holy Spirit seek the truths of the Bible, the focus of cTc.tv is to help them personally locate self-study resources to learn about the Bible, and go to a local Christian church. > Local churches may be expected to offer responders fellowship: encouraging, teaching and building one another up in the understanding of the Grace and Mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. This might involve being a guest at several local churches to observe and make a personal choice. > Our prayer is that responders develop a desire to worship God, receive His Word, accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, and have fellowship with others as together they each seek full spiritual maturity and that church attendance, participation in worship, Bible study, small groups and mission teams, prayer and membership becomes a part of their regular life. |
F. WHAT ARE THE BELIEFS AND CORE VALUES OF cTc.tv? |
> The Statement of Faith of cTc.tv is the Holy Bible.
> We are guided by the Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20 (*1) and the Great Commandment, Luke 10:27 (*2).
> Our core values are integrity and truth, with total and awesome respect for the absolute Wisdom in the Gospel, and indeed, within the entire Holy Bible.
> The servant-steward leadership of cTc.tv strives to live by the teachings of the Bible, with a focus on the Golden Rule, Luke 6:31 (*3), and the message of the Ten Commandments, Exodus 20: 1-17. cTc.tv has a strong belief in the Bible and the guidance of the Four Spiritual Laws (*5) as a way of sharing the good news of the salvation that is available through faith in Jesus Christ.
>> *1: The Great Commission: Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
>> *2: The Great Commandment: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:27

G. WHAT IS THE VISION OF cTc.tv? |
> The long-term vision of cTc.tv flows from the Scripture and a commitment to use modern mass communications technology to help fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
> The perspective is to significantly reduce the constraints of individual church resources and help to overcome some of the barriers in time or cost to using mass media like the Internet for resource provision. > As the number of churches, individual web sites, social media and others list and promote links to the cTc.tv web site, we expect to use open source media campaigns, in particular press releases, to further expand awareness and attract more responders to cTc.tv (while not free, an awareness dream is for anonymous sponsors to bring forth strategic billboards, baseball cap patches, bumper stickers, etc., with the simple cTc.tv logo and/or Ichthys with the letters cTc.tv within the bounds of the outline). > Churches anywhere around the globe that are anxious to overcome resource limitations may link to cTc.tv to save time, energy and money by a simple and free link to http://cTc.tv > This service is a gift: no paperwork, no fees, no denominational doctrine or rules for use, etc. This site is to stay free of ads and shopping carts, although some of the links might change their policy on ads, we will not. The owner of this web site does have for-profit enterprises, but they are independent of this spare-time micro-mission. Users may wish to support the direct resource web sites they find on cTc.tv, but that is not a requirement.
> The long-term vision is to have ongoing low budget cTc.tv awareness campaigns running steadily in 175 major metropolitan areas of the United States (those regions having more than 250,000 population and served by television broadcast and cable media).
> Eventually, the broader mass media awareness concept may expand beyond the borders of the United States if those in other geographic areas around the globe, large or small, wish to undertake the effort, but for now, first things first in the country where we live and place our faith and trust in the God that gave us the ultimate gift, His Son, Jesus Christ! |
H. WHY WAS cTc.tv FOUNDED? |
> In 2003, after more than 15 years in an outreach ministry that spans the globe, the founding champion for this mission noted that, “The body of Christ, the Church, is splintered into thousands of denominations. Churches want to reach out with the Good News of Jesus Christ and seek better ways to fulfill the Great Commission. Most local churches want to grow by attracting individuals to come to church”. He decided to try to do something different about it: create a cost-effective mass media communications strategy that would foster inquiry and local church attendance. The concept was tested with rapid acceptance in a mid-size metro-region in the northeastern part of the United States.
> The endeavor was organized to provide local Christian churches with a way to unite and bear the cost of modern media messages that encourage church attendance. A plan was developed that would have a cost equivalent to just one small bottle of drinking water per congregation member per month for a typical 200 member local church. The needed number of participating churches for most areas ranged from 20 to 50, depending upon the local cable TV coverage pattern. Since a very high percentage of change in individual church membership involves Christians moving rather than from reaching the lost, this was visualized as a way to foster curiousity on the part of the lost and wandering to the point that they actually started to become a seeker. This part of the cTc.tv plan was delayed when self-funding resources were exhausted. Perhaps one day .....
> The crushing impact of the Great Recession slowed the effort, and the subsequent growth of multiple directory and informational resources on the Internet led to a prayerful decision to refocus cTc.tv to be a free access, very easy to recall and use resource linking to the “best-of-the-best” core non-denominational resources for all to freely use.
> Of particular interest is global access to core resources in thousands of languages using not only text, but also as audio and audio visual to freely serve any individual, anywhere, anytime, and anyplace.
> This makes it easy and possible for thousands of church webmasters anywhere in the world to save time, energy, and funds associated with basic links for the individual church websites. And very importantly, this provides free access to cTc.tv without a sign-in by most anybody who has any electronic communications device, including tablets, mobile phones, MP3 players, etc.
> The leadership of ctc.tv is a father-son team, reflecting many years of national and international Christian outreach by the son, and marketing planning and program experience at local and national levels by the father. They leave it up to the local church and individuals anywhere, and at anytime, to make use of free access to cTc.tv as they deem appropriate. Please pray that this access is never blocked by any entity. |
I. WHO IS cTc.tv REACHING OUT TO? |
> We are all concerned about trends that reflect generational declines in integrity and values that provide the foundation for positive human interaction, our personal freedom, and indeed, the future of the United States of America.
> Our goal in response to this situation is to foster increased levels of active attendance and participation in the fellowship of caring local Christian churches. The idea is to use the reach of the Internet and related media to develop awareness of cTc.tv and to be available to all who privately inquire and wish to use free resources as they start their inquiry and search process. > Each day, life’s circumstances cause randomly located individuals to consider seeking a church. Most tend to consider churches in close proximity to their household. But, how do they find and select a church when there are so many? How do they know what is behind the doors of the various religious facilities in their proximity? How do they find the Truth? > One answer is to provide ongoing memorable media messages that encourage the seeker to recall and use the short web address: cTc.tv. The letters are from the identical initials of multiple messages: Come to church, come to Christ, connect to Christians, Christians that care, churches that care, choose to change, change the choice, and many more that are in our files. More and more of these messages take the user to cTc.tv and its associated web pages. > The formerly non-interested individual who becomes a seeker due to the messages can readily go to cTc.tv. Then when they are ready, they can use the national church mapping services on cTc.tv to initiate direct contact and become acquainted with the local church(s) of their choice. > All are welcome to discover and come to local Christian churches. We want all to learn the unchanging Gospel about Jesus Christ in the face of the ever-shifting winds of contemporary culture and times around the globe. > All who wish, no matter where they are around the globe, are welcome to freely access these resources and share the insights as they deem appropriate in their locale. |
J. WHAT IS VISUALIZED AS THE CORE THEME OF cTc.tv MASS MEDIA MESSAGES (IF THAT PHASE BECOMES A REALITY)? |
> The plan is to use creative, cutting edge tele-virtual messages that will develop a sub-conscious recall of cTc.tv when a passive or inattentive listener, and maybe a viewer, has that unpredictable moment of life's stress that just might cause them to start on the path of becoming a seeker. We want cTc.tv to easily come to mind instead of anything else: “When life stresses you, go to cTc.tv to discover the Truth, and also find a nearby local church that cares”. > What are some of life's stressors? The list is long, but some of the more common ones include marital issues or divorce, financial or job troubles, addictions of all types, care giving of dependents, abuse of any kind, catastrophic loss of health, unexpected expecting of child, any kind of violence, death of close family, friends, involuntary life changing event, etc. > The emotions that come with these stressors include depression, grief, rejection, hopelessness, fear, anxiety, loss of self-control, resentment, anger, frustration, etc. > What is sought to deal with these issues? As Christians, we know the answer to be Jesus, the Love of God and learning His Wisdom as recorded in the Holy Bible. But first we must get the attention of the lost, plant the thought that reading the Holy Bible and learning about the church is a good starting point, and that cTc.tv is a fast and easy way to find, learn about, select and then make contact with a nearby local Christian church that really cares. > To see an unique audio-visual message that we created, please CLICK HERE. |
K. WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THE cTc.tv PLAN? |
> Most local church seekers tend to consider church proximity, but may be limited in their personal knowledge about the many buildings near them that house a wide variety of religious organizations. This is a daunting challenge for the person who has limited knowledge of organized or institutional denominations, and non-denominational local churches.
> Directories are typically organized by denomination, and individual church web site names and web search results can be quite confusing. Some directory designations for churches complicate and confuse the process. Even the designation as Christian has multiple doctrinal frames of reference. This makes the Internet search process onerous and may frustrate a potential seeker. > Unlike most web sites, the cTc.tv site provides a carefully crafted FREE resource that may be used by all. Furthermore, it provides FREE use to churches that wish to leverage their resource web page without having to take the time to identify the “best-of-the-best”. > Discovery of additional good resources and then feedback to cTc.tv by just one source that tells us by snail mail or e-mail allows us to review the information and if appropriate, to place it on cTc.tv overnight (at our sole discretion). Then it is immediately available to all who have linked to cTc.tv or have put cTc.tv in their favorite places like FaceBook, pinterest.com, etc.
> This can help thousands of local church web site masters, unique repeat guests to this site, and independent seekers of the Truth all around the globe!
> Do you know of a free access resource that meets these criteria that we need to add to cTc.tv? |
L. WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS FROM THIS ENDEAVOR? |
> The outcome of this effort: more individuals, their children and future generations will read the Holy Bible, come to a local Christian church that cares, discover the true meaning of Jesus’ love for each of us, and transform the world with the love of Christ. > If you have questions that we have not answered so far, please contact us now and learn more about this innovative and free way to extend Christian outreach in the proximity of your local church -- any time, any where, by any body around the globe. |
M. WHY IS cTc.tv A "NOT- FOR -PROFIT", BUT NOT A NGO 501(c)(3)?
|
Why the http://cTc.tv mission is NOT a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: > The mission is too small to afford the excessive costs of non-profit organization regulation and compliance by the United States Federal Government and other regulatory forces. It will not operate or function as a tax-shelter for any individual or entity. > About three out of four households in the United States do NOT itemize their deductions on their income tax returns, so there is no tax savings incentive for them to donate funds or provide other forms of support. Free-will generosity to spread the Word is a sincere form of thanksgiving and worship of our Creator. > The mission wants to stay free to express ANY opinion on any matter under the protection of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The lessons and values learned from the Holy Bible are the basis for responsible and accountable use of individual freedom, and must not be suppressed by any forces of any power that are based on evil or foolish use of the three M's*: might, money or mind. > This mission has no earned income and on-going out-of-pocket expenses are met from the personal resources of Christians that care to discretely assist. > Time is volunteered by Christians that care. The mission will not employ anybody; if it really needs services that are not free-will provided, it will obtain them from appropriate entities as resources permit, or simply do without them. > Awareness is encouraged by word-of-mouth, social media, and those in the third room (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_place). > Non-profit institutional and organized religious entities can support this mission as a free will expense when doing so is in accord with their operating policy, legal and particular tax structure. Free will anonymous and unrestricted financial support is not solicited, but is welcome. > For those Christians that care who wish to support this mission, a variety of business and enterprise development booklets and books authored by the founder of cTc.tv are sold via a totally unrelated (to cTc.tv) for-profit entity. This in turn provides personally taxed resources that are then used for personal free will financial support of this mission. Purchase of these publications is a well-recognized legitimate business operating expense (consult your tax advisor for details). For more insights on these original publications, simply use most any Internet search engine for the FREE e-book: Marketing Tips and Insights, ISBN 0-935864-31-8. The "donate" tab on this web site provides more insights and a link for caring Christians. > This mission is operated within the concept of tithing with volunteered resources and caring time, with constant prayers for guidance from our Lord.
